OPENING NIGHT of the DEL SHORES FOUNDATION WRITERS FESTIVAL **FREE** Only registration required! For those who can - suggested donation of $50 This is the launch of our Del Shores Foundation Writers Festival weekend! Opening night will feature a stage reading of the Short Film Award winning-script "Augusta" by Nathan Blankenship and a screening of the Award-winning Short Film "Smoke Breaks" by last year's short winner William Mettlach. It will be followed by "Del Shores One-on-One with Q. Allan Brocka" the creator of the Eating Out movie franchise and LOGO's Rick & Steve: the Happiest Gay Couple in All the World. All of the Del Shores Foundation Writers Festival finalists have been invited to attend! We are paying all of their costs to attend and participate in the weekend. This is our opportunity to celebrate them and help them build their network. We will have panels open to the public on Saturday during the day and stage readings of the winning Play Script "Cockroaches" by Emma Schillage on Saturday night and the winning Screenplay Script "Woodside" by Gerard Shaka on Sunday afternoon. All events are free and open to the public, you must register for each panel/reading to attend! Donation amounts are suggested for each event for those who can afford to contribute, but we don't want cost to be a barrier to anyone wanting to join us! Check the Del Shores Foundation website for tickets to each event - and if you want to attend them all, register for each one individually! www.delshoresfoundation.org
